Sen. Villar was criticized and there were those who recalled the past viral statements that she had. There was another video of her showing her “amok.”

On April 26, a week after her viral video with the security guard circulated on social media, Sen. Cynthia Villar spoke before the press, based on the report from Inquirer.

I don’t want to be remembered as a senator who kept quiet. I want to be remembered as someone who fought for what is right and what is good for the people,” she said. The lawmaker opposed the road being blocked. This leads to the facility that she had built in the area decades ago.

She also stressed that there was no outburst that happened. In some write-ups, it was said that she was “nagwala.”

Wala namang outburst. They’re just inventing that. There was no outburst. I was just telling them to remove the gate because it’s for public use,” Sen. Villar said.

Regarding this issue, former COMELEC Commissioner Rowena Guanzon took the side of Sen. Cynthia Villar. Guanzon said that the guard in the viral video was “overacting.”
