Jennica Garcia shared that she almost backed out from doing her Lala Millado role

Actress Jennica Garcia revealed that Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach is her inspiration for her Lala Millado character in the Kapamilya primetime series Dirty Linen.

The said series somehow served as Jennica’s big comeback project after being inactive in showbiz for a while. Her portrayal of her character received applause from the viewers and this makes her happy.

In a recent interview, based on the article in Bandera, Jennica was apprehensive at first if she will continue to do this project.

She admitted that she really got nervous portraying Lala Millado. It is because her character is a dancer in a nightclub. With this, she had to wear revealing clothes and do vulgar dance moves on stage.

Jennica Garcia had hesitations when the role was presented to her.

Her role is someone who is confident that she is beautiful or “gandang-ganda sa sarili.” Despite the apprehensions that she had, once the director say “action,” she followed.

The actress revealed that it is because of Pia Wurtzbach.

She added that even though she and Pia have different beauties, the confidence that the beauty queen exudes inspires her to portray her role well.

When asked if her character has similarities to her real personality, Jennica Garcia said that she does not think that they are the same. However, the actress said that somehow she and Lala Millado are the same when it comes to loving a person. “Hindi kami basta madaling matitibag dahil lang hindi na kami mahal nung mahal namin,” she said.
