Enrique Gil is still a Kapamilya
Actor Enrique Gil debunked the rumors that he will transfer to GMA-7 as he signed a contract with ABS-CBN on April 25, 2023.
Late last year, it was rumored that Enrique was already having negotiations with the Kapuso network. It was also rumored that he will be paired with Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera in a project.
However, negative write-ups surfaced about this. It was alleged that the negotiations did not push through because the actor has a lot of demands. However, the camp of the actor denied this allegation.
Amid the speculations about whether he will become a Kapuso or remain a Kapamilya, Enrique Gil was silent for a while. Just recently, teasers of his showbiz comeback circulated on social media and this made his fans so excited.
On Tuesday, the actor finally ended the speculations. His contract signing with his home network for more than a decade took place. Based on the Kapamilya entertainment reporter MJ Felipe’s Twitter post, a video showcasing the summary of Enrique’s 15-year showbiz career was shown before the contract signing happened.
The contract signing was attended by several ABS-CBN executives led by ABS-CBN COO for Broadcast Cory Vidanes who hugged the actor so tight. Enrique came with his cute dog. “The long wait is over. I don’t want to call it a comeback, ‘coz Enrique never left,” the media company executive said.
Enrique Gil is also popularly known as the other half of the LizQuen love team. For many years, he and his real-life girlfriend Liza Soberano did a lot of TV and movie projects. Last year, Liza decided to pursue a career in Hollywood and with this, the love team took a backseat.
