Bea Binene Asked If She’s “Inggit” To Barbie Forteza’s Success

Bea Binene shared her thoughts on Barbie Forteza’s success

Actress Bea Binene has this answer when she was asked if she feels envious of the success that her contemporary actress Barbie Forteza has right now.

Barbie recently had her big break when it comes to her acting career. She was lauded because of her portrayal of her character Klay in the Kapuso series Maria Clara at Ibarra. From that series, her love team with David Licauco bloomed and they now have their own fandom.

Based on the article in Bandera, the competition issue between Barbie and Bea started when they did the youth-oriented show Tween Hearts. They started their career almost the same time.

With this, it is inevitable that they will get compared to each other. However, Bea Binene stressed that she does not feel “inggit” to the success that Barbie Forteza has achieved.

“Sobrang proud ako sa Maria Clara (at Ibarra) saka sa kanila ni David,” the actress said during the press conference for the new movie The Rain in Espana in which she is one of the stars.

Bea also shared that until now, she and Barbie remained friends and that they still communicate with each other. She added that it just so happened that they are both busy, so they did have their bonding moments yet.

However, they would still message each other, especially on special occasions. “Pero ‘yun, consistent kapag may birthday, maggi-greet, ‘yung magla-like, babati, magko-comment sa Instagram and Facebook stories. Ganu’n po talaga. Saka hindi lang si Barbie, pati ‘yung mommy niya, si Tita Amy,” Bea Binene said.

She also said that there is no competition between her and Barbie. From being part of Tween Hearts, Bea said that there was no competition because the show presented the whole group. After that, they had separate projects. Bea also said that GMA took care of her also.

“Kumbaga, ngayon kay Barbie, wala po akong nararamdaman na parang (inggit), wala po. I’m just really happy and I’m proud of her kasi ‘di ba, nagpapagawa na ng bahay si ate girl, ganyan, ‘di ba?” Bea said.
