Foreman Extorting Money in Mandaluyong Stabbed by Construction Worker
A construction worker was jailed after he stabbed a foreman for allegedly extorting money from them in Mandaluyong City.
A worker stabbed a foreman at a construction site in Mandaluyong City, according to the complaint. The suspect was a construction worker whom he was in charge of. The suspect admitted to tabbing.
The stabber said that the foreman was extorting P100 from the overtime pay of construction workers at the aforementioned site in Barangay Ilaya Taas. The victim allegedly threatened the assailant with termination if he did not pay P100.
According to the assailant, he cut the foreman with a kitchen knife. Based on the report, he admitted that he didn’t feel bad about stabbing the foreman. He further stated that he opted to surrender at the barangay, which resulted in his arrest.
“Inunahan ko na siya kesa maunahan ako … Hindi ako nagsisisi … Handa po ako kaya nga sumurrender ako sa barangay,” he said.
Following the stabbing, the foreman was transported to the hospital. His brother, who also works at the aforementioned construction site, defended him. He stated that the perpetrator’s allegations against the victim are false.
“Kahit magtanong pa tayo sa mga kasamahan namin hindi naman nanggaganun si kuya eh,” he said.
The suspect is being held at Mandaluyong Police Station and will be charged with frustrate murder. Meanwhile, the victim was hospitalized and is still in critical condition.
