Beauty Gonzalez Says ‘Naubos English ko sa Sundance!’
BEAUTY GONZALEZ – Kapuso star Beauty Gonzalez talked about her Sundance Film Festival 2023 experience.
Beauty Gonzalez starred in the horror movie In My Mother’s Skin and represented the Philippines at the annual Sundance Film Festival in Utah. She shared some photos of herself at the event on her Instagram account.
The 31-year-old Kapuso star wore a unique handmade jacket created by Filipino artist Tekla Tamoria from reused and recycled clots for the opening day of the film festival. At the celebration, Gonzalez was radiant. She remarked, “Just so happy to be here at The Sundance Film Festival.”
Beauty Gonzalez is hopeful that her international project will succeed this year. She said that when she went to the Sundance Film Festival in Utah, United States, last January, she was able to “network” herself by meeting producers and seeing Hollywood celebrities Dakota Johnson and Anne Hathaway.
The actress spoke to the media during her debut as the first celebrity endorser for the cosmetics company Hey Pretty Skin last week.
“I saw Anne Hathaway. I saw a lot of producers. I saw Dakota Johnson sa ’50 Shades of Grey.’ It was a good experience because I got to network myself to other (producers)…”
“There’s one coming this year. I’ll be working abroad. Hopefully. We’ll see kung matutuloy. It was a beautiful experience and, to top it all, binili na ng Amazon ‘yung movie namin. It’s coming out this July or June. Siyempre and dami pang festivals ang kailangan puntahan na kasama din ‘yung movie,” she added.

The horror film “In My Mother’s Skin” by Kenneth Dagatan, starring Beauty Gonzalez and Jasmine Curtis-Smith, was shown at the annual film festival’s Midnight Section.
Gonzalez revealed that she accepted the project without hesitation after learning that it will be filmed in the same house as the famous Filipino World War II film, “Oro Plata Mata.” For those who don’t know, Gonzalez has an interest in antiques. She is wed to Norman Crisologo, an art curator.
“Mahilig ako sa Philippine antiques e. I love Philippine contemporary arts so nu’ng nalaman ko doon pa ‘yung shooting, kahit hindi ko pa alam ‘yung storya, go! Kasi, you know, gusto ko lang talaga. I love collecting these things…”
“I want to be the caretaker of our history. That’s the reason why I’m so into this Philippine antiquities and art,” the actress said.
“It’s really unexpected din talaga. Naubos ‘yung English ko doon sa interview sa Sundance!” Gonzalez quipped.
