Eat Bulaga will continue with TVJ
TAPE Inc. chief finance officer Bullet Jalosjos said that TVJ, the iconic trio of Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon, will definitely stay in Eat Bulaga.
These past few weeks, the issue surrounding the longest-running noontime show somehow prompted different speculations. However, in a recent interview on King of Talk Boy Abunda’s Fast Talk, the son of former Congressman Romy Jalosjos made some clarifications.
He said that he got the go signal from the board to speak about this matter. Bullet also stressed that they also feel that the public needs to know what is happening in the show. They know that speculations will end once they would speak about it.
Bullet Jalosjos said debunked the allegations that Tito, Vic, and Joey will no longer be part of the show. He also said that hosts, Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola, Paolo Ballesteros, Ryan Agoncillo, Maine Mendoza, Ryzza Mae Dizon, and Allan K will also remain.
The TAPE Inc. executive also said that the show will not have a new version but it is more of a more improved Eat Bulaga. “I think we’re adding more shows, bigger prizes and more exciting segments at hindi mawawala ang TVJ,” he said.
Bullet also clarified that the noontime show is not transferring to Net25 as previously rumored. He stressed that there is no truth also to the speculation that they are suffering from financial problems.
It was rumored previously that in order for the show to continue, hosts agreed to lessen the amount of their talent fee. “The company is okay, we’re doing good, we pay our talents, so wala po talagang problema when it comes to money,” the Eat Bulaga executive said.
Bullet also shared that a meeting happened and everyone in Eat Bulaga, including the security guards, attended. During the said meeting, Tony Tuviera’s retirement was announced. It was also a way of confirming that Jon-jon Jalosjos is the new president and would take over the daily operation of the show.
“My dad would still act as the active chairman,” he added.
