Willie Ong warned the public against “miracle food” advertisement
Social media personality Dr. Willie Ong reacted to the demand letter coming from the legal counsel of celebrity Kris Aquino regarding the fake “miracle food” ad.
To recall, Kris stated in her reply to her lawyer’s comment that she wanted to do legal action against an advertisement of a product in the form of mixed nuts that uses her name and claims that it can cure cancer, diabetes, and obesity.
The Queen of all Media stressed that right now, she can’t take solid foods yet and she is even allergic to some nuts.
In a demand letter, Kris’s legal counsel ordered Dr. Willie Ong to take down the ads, specifically citing the post on his and his wife Liza Ong’s Facebook page on March 2023.
Following the demand letter, the doctor warned the public against the fake news and clarified that there was a misunderstanding that happened.
Doc Willie said that Kris’s camp was misled. “Ms. Kris Aquino and her lawyers may have been misled by these fake ads which are not mine po. I do not own nor endorse these products. Please be careful po,” the social media personality said.
He also stressed that he is not the owner of the said Facebook page. “My official page has a Blue Verified check mark named Doc Willie Ong with 17 million followers,” Dcc Willie said.
The social media personality also said that he already reported these kinds of misleading posts five years ago but there is just an insignificant result because the scammers just kept on creating new accounts.
Dr. Willie Ong added that this is one of the problems that many influencers are experiencing. “I hope you can clarify this so as not to harm my reputation,” he said.
