Eat Bulaga Hosts Agreed To “Bawas Talent Fee” Just To Continue The Show?

Is it true that Eat Bulaga hosts had to sacrifice their talent fee?

Rumor has it that Eat Bulaga hosts agreed to “bawas talent fee” in order for the longest-running noontime show to continue.

Another rumor surfaced just recently regarding the issue surrounding the show. It was previously speculated that a rebranding will happen along with the takeover of the children of Romy Jalosjos, the owner of TAPE Inc, the production company behind the show.

Allegations also surfaced that pioneer hosts Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon will no longer be part of the show and it was rumored that they are already negotiating with Bacolod City Mayor Albee Benitez, the owner of Brightlights Productions.

Reshuffling of the hosts is also being speculated. It was also alleged that Eat Bulaga might transfer to other networks. Amid this issue, no one from the show’s management has spoken about this. The hosts of the show are also silent about the issue.

In a recent article by entertainment writer Salve Asis in Pang-Masa, rumors surfaced that the hosts of the show agreed to get lesser talent fees and this will be led by the iconic TVJ trio.

“Naintindihan naman diumano ng tatlo na hindi na kasing laki ng dating revenue ang kanilang programa sa kasalukuyan dahil sa pandemic na hindi na rin nakabalik sa dati kumbaga ang kita nito ayon sa narinig kong kuwento,” Asis wrote in her article.

She added that as of now, the show will not undergo any changes yet but it was said that some of the hosts will no longer continue.

Eat Bulaga still has an existing contract with the Kapuso network and this will end in December 2024.
