John Lloyd Cruz has an onscreen reunion with an ex-girlfriend
Kapuso sitcom Happy ToGetHer‘s upcoming episode will feature the reunion of actor John Lloyd Cruz reunion with his ex-girlfriend actress Kaye Abad.
John Lloyd and Kaye were among the stars in the hit 90s youth-oriented show Tabing Ilog. Their characters Rovic and Eds were well-accepted and had become a part of many young adults’ lives at that time.
Their relationship became a real thing behind the camera. However, they eventually called it quits. In a previous interview, Kaye admitted that John Lloyd is her first love and first boyfriend.
Although things did not work out between them, there is no issue if ever they will share the same frame again. Back in 2015, they had their reunion project and that was an episode for the defunct Kapamilya drama anthology Maalaala Mo Kaya.
This year, they are sharing the same frame, and this is through John Lloyd Cruz’s sitcom Happy ToGetHer on the Kapuso network. Based on the article in Inquirer, actor-director Badjie Mortiz shared photos taken during their shoot.
It showed that Kaye Abad will be the guest in an upcoming episode. “[musical note emoji] Sa ilog [musical note emoji]. Cycle 20 shoot day 2,” Badji wrote in the caption of his post.
Fans of Rovic and Eds expressed excitement about their reunion. “Wow kaabang abang ang rovic eds tandem,” Instagram user @aping_ayoying commented.
Kaye Abad also shared a post on her Instagram Story featuring her photo with John Lloyd Cruz. The actress wrote, “Abangan….”
As of this writing, there is no final announcement yet about the airing schedule of Happy ToGetHer featuring Kaye Abad.
