Speeding Truck Beating the Red Light in Bacolod City Hit 3-year-old Kid in Bacolod City
A 3-year-old kid died after being hit by an alleged speeding truck and recklessly beating the red light in Bacolod City.
According to the report of iFM Bacolod, a vehicle mishap in Bacolod City resulted in the death of a three-year-old daughter. The event occurred on the Circumferential Road in this city’s Barangay Villamonte on Tuesday morning, April 18, 2023.
Captain Greeky Cayao, chief of Police Station 4, identified the dead as Venice Areglo. Based on the report, Venice is riding the motorcycle that her parents, Jude Areglo and Sheila Mae, are riding.
According to the police investigation, the motorcycle and the vehicle driven by Jemmy Panes, a resident of Barangay 9, Victorias City, were traveling in the same direction. The motorcycle allegedly came to a halt due to a red light.
However, it was claimed that the truck ran a red light and collided with the motorcyclist in front of it. The child who died had fatal injuries, while the couple was transported to the hospital with lesser injuries.
The three were returning home from Moises Padilla when the disaster occurred. According to police, the truck driver is currently being held at Police Station 4.
