One of the state-run social insurance institutions in the Philippines is the Social Security System. More commonly called SSS, most of its members are employees in the private sector and self-employed individuals. Some members are voluntary members and there are also overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).

The SSS Salary Cash Loan offer is open for SSS members who have active accounts and have posted at least 36 monthly savings. The loanable amounts of a member depends on his or her total contributions upon the time of application.

For members who have posted at least 36 monthly contributions but not more than 72 monthly contributions may avail a one (1) month basic salary loan – meaning you can borrow an equivalent of your one-month basic salary. For members who have posted 72 monthly contributions and above, you can borrow an equivalent of twice the amount of your basic salary.
