Madam Kilay Questions Fellow Vloggers Promoting Gambling to Their Followers
Social media influencer and vlogger Madam Kilay slammed fellow vloggers who are promoting gambling to their followers.
Jinky Cubillan-Anderson, also known as Madam Kilay, turned to Facebook to express her displeasure with fellow content makers that promote unhealthy habits to their fans. Madam Kilay chastised other vloggers for promoting gambling on their social media platforms.
Vloggers, she believes, should not encourage vices in their audiences. She maintained that if they continue to promote gambling, they should cease referring to themselves as “vloggers.”
She acknowledged that some vloggers merely wanted to make money, but she claimed that promoting gambling demonstrated their avarice. She mentioned that vloggers are already making money from their social media videos.
” Kumikita na tayo sa vlogging natin, kada post natin kada views natin, kumikita yan [at] may pera diyan. Okay na sana don, gumawa ka nalang ng content na maganda, yung nakakapagpasaya yung nakakatanggal ng negative ng tao, positive na content diba, kumikita ka na naman doon,” she stated in her video.
Thousands of netizens responded positively to Madam Kilay. Some notable influencers were aggressively marketing gambling apps to their followers, as previously reported. Some internet users have already requested Meta, formerly known as Facebook, to penalize the aforementioned influencers.
