Three major big-screen projects were given to Kathryn Bernardo. Here’s what we know so far!
KATHRYN BERNARDO – It’s going to be a busy and abundant year for Kathryn Bernardo as she is gearing up for three movie projects.
When it comes to prominence and bankability, ABS-CBN superstar Kathryn Bernardo has surely proven her worth and value already. She is the Box Office Queen of her generation.
Two of her films have earned more than Php 8 million.
She is also one of Asia-Pacific’s most influential celebrities on social media according to Forbes Asia and on the list of Most Influential on Social Media of Metro Society.
And this year is definitely going to be a busy year for the Asia’s superstar.
She is set to do three movies and two of these will be released this year. But this time around, she will be stepping out of her comfort zone. She will do characters and stories she has never done before.
Kath is bound to do “A Very Good Girl” under Star Cinema with internationally-acclaimed Pinoy actress Dolly De Leon. It will be under the direction of Petersen Vargas, written by Dom Mongcol, Carmi Raymundo as Creative Manager, and Daniel Saniana as Creative Supervisor.
She will also do a reunion film with Olivia Lamasan for the Black Sheep. It will be called “Elena 1944”, a period action-drama movie. Patrick Valencia, a Palanca-award winning screenplay, will be writing the story and Vanessa Valdez is the Creative Manager.
This film will be about the “story of a comfort woman during the Japanese occupation in the Philippines”. This is Bernardo and Lamasan’s reunion film after working in “Barcelona: A Love Untold” in 2016.
The other film is a film with her reel and real-life partner Daniel Padilla with the award-winning director Cathy Garcia-Molina.
According to Kath, she and Daniel will be doing projects individually which they are most supportive of for each other and apart from their individual projects, she confirmed that they will be doing one movie together with CGM.
“Ang importante kami ni DJ, offcam nagsusuportahan for each other at sa mga gagawin ni DJ in the future 100% susuportahan ko siya kasi alam ko namang masaya din siya sa gagawin niya, so meron kaming gagawin individually but meron pa rin under Direk Cathy,” she said.
