Rumor has it that Tropang LOL will no longer occupy the 11 AM timeslot
Kapatid noontime show Tropang LOL is rumored to be transferred to a new timeslot and it was also alleged that it is already negotiating with Net25.
The said noontime show on TV5 is produced by Brighlight Productions owned by Bacolod City Mayor Albee Benitez. Based on the article in Bandera, rumors said that LOL will be discontinued.
Allegedly, the 11 AM timeslot will be returned to Face To Face program. There were also rumors that surfaced saying that LOL will be transferred to a different timeslot but the show’s running time will be shorter.
Rumors also surfaced saying that Brightlight Productions has started its negotiation with Net25. “Sabagay, posibleng kagatin ng EBC ang LOL dahil may followings na ito at matagal na ring gustong magkaroon ng noontime show ang NET25,” Bandera entertainment columnist Reggee Bonoan shared.
Net25 previously had its own noontime show, Happy Time. It was hosted by Janno Gibbs, Anjo Yllana, and Kitkat. However, it only had 147 episodes and the show was discontinued because a conflict happened between Janno and Kitkat Favia. A social media word war happened between them. The incident led to Kitkat’s resignation.
Now that rumors are saying that the management of Tropang LOL is negotiating with Net25, Bonoan said that it is a good thing if this is true because it means work opportunities for people in front of the camera and even those who are in the production team.
To recall, Benitez produced shows for TV5 to help the workers from ABS-CBN. The columnist added that speculations surfaced that TV5 is offering Brighlight Productions a sitcom or a series in exchange for the 11 AM timeslot.
