Annabelle McDonnell Claims Her Gown Was Sabotaged
ANNABELLE MCDONNELL – Miss Charm International 2023 first runner-up Annabelle McDonnell revealed at her homecoming in Iligan City that her gown was sabotaged at the Miss Charm International 2023 prelims.
38 stunning women competed for the title and crown of Miss Charm 2023. And Annabelle McDonnell, a 22-year-old beauty queen Miss Misamis Oriental, represented the Philippines. She earlier awed us with her airy national dress, “Bighari,” which was inspired by folklore and was worn by the goddess of flowers.
Annabelle placed first runner-up in the Miss Universe Philippines 2022 competition, and in November 2022, she was named Miss Charm Philippines 2023. Even though she did not win the crown, she left the pageant with a stunning and impressive journey.
The judges for the 2015 Miss Charm pageant included Miss World 2015 Mireia Lalaguna of Spain, Miss International 2012 Ikumi Yoshimatsu of Japan, and Miss Universe 2005 Natalie Glebova of Canada. The grand coronation was held in Vietnam on February 16, 2023.
Based on a report from PEP, Annabelle McDonnell revealed the sabotage of her gown during Miss Charm 2023. She made the revelation at her homecoming in Iligan City on March 13, 2023.

The portion of the video where Annabelle details the sabotage of her evening gown in the preliminary competition is now viral on social media. Three days before this, the prelims were held. During the pageant’s evening gown presentation, Annabelle reportedly discovered that her gown was damaged.
She called it, “One of the worst days of my life.”
Annabelle described the events in the prelims, “Nothing went well. Nothing went my way. The minute I put on my evening gown, I knew something was wrong with my evening gown.
“We have put so much time and effort in making it, and see to it that it was good, it was perfect, it was a perfect fit.”
But she said she had no control over the situation. She said, “But what can you say? If somebody wants to sabotage your gown, then you can’t do anything about it. It’s already beyond your control.”
