PCSO announces that an elderly cancer survivor wins P50 million jackpot prize in the lottery game Lotto 6/42.
The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) has announced that a 74-year-old cancer survivor has won P50 million in the Lotto 6/42 lottery game. This is great news for the winner who has been an avid game patron since 1998.
“Napakatagal ko ng sumusubok sa lotto, simula 1998 ay tumataya na ako. Numero yan ng mga kaarawan at buwan ng kapanganakan namin pamilya. Iyang lumabas na numero ay isang taon ko ng inaalagaan,” he said.
The winning combination of numbers that secured his victory was 26-14-11-08-07-22.
“Ako na yata ang pinaka-maswerteng tao sa mundo dahil mahal ako ng Diyos!” he said.
The lucky winner shared that he had previously benefited from PCSO’s charity programs while battling cancer. He was able to repay the group that helped him during his time of need after winning the lottery.
The lucky winner got his prize on March 3 at the PCSO Main Office in Mandaluyong City, Philippines. On February 28, the winning numbers were selected, and the winner conveyed his gratitude and happiness.
It should be noted, however, that awards above P10,000 are subject to a 20% final tax under the Tax Reform Acceleration and Inclusion Act. Despite this tax, the winner will receive a significant amount of cash, which will definitely assist him enhance his standard of living.
