Vilma Santos’s come back movie is with Direk Erik Matti
Prominent director Erik Matti that it has been his dream to work with Star For All Seasons Vilma Santos.
Erik has done critically-acclaimed movies. He is one of the multi-awarded directors in the Philippines. Over the years, younger directors are looking up to him and the projects he has done.
This year, he is doing a movie with Vilma and he admitted that it makes him so excited. In his recent Instagram post, Direk Erik shared photos during his meeting with the Star For All Seasons.
“I’ve been a fan of Ms Vilma Santos’ Ishmael Bernal marriage twin bill “Relasyon” and “Broken Marriage”. I also loved her in the dark Maryo J movie Tagos ng Dugo,” Erik Matti wrote in the caption of his post.
The director added that behind Vilma’s serious acting performances, her performance in Olive Lamasan’s “In My Life” showcased her versatility and range. “It has been a dream to make a film for The Vilma Santos,” the filmmaker shared.
After his long wait, Direk Erik said that finally had a perfect project for the veteran actress that will surely showcase once again her acting caliber. The director also said that he is looking forward to creating a fresh and memorable character with Ate Vi.
“Happy that we are all excited for this project,” Erik Matti said, adding that they have a lot of time to prepare.
To recall, it was back in September 2022 when news first circulated that Vilma Santos will have a movie comeback with Direk Erik Matti as the director. The veteran actress took a break or was pushed to be inactive in showbiz due to her responsibilities as a public servant.
