What’s the real score between Xian Lim and Ashley Ortega?
Kapuso actor Xian Lim has this reaction when asked about his rumored rendezvous with his Hearts on Ice leading lady Ashley Ortega.
It is known to many that Xian is in a relationship with Kapamilya actress Kim Chiu. However, the actor is now being linked to Ashley.
The rumors linking the two Kapuso stars made a fan accused Xian’s skating coach as the one tolerating them.
Based on the article in PEP, coach Ronan received nasty messages from netizens who speculated that Xian Lim and Ashley Ortega are romantically together.
This was stated in one of the messages that Coach Ronan received: “Coach ka na din pala ng panloloko ngayon. Paano mo naatim na tulungan ang Xian Lim na yan na lokohin si Kim? Paano mo nagawang maging daan para patagong magkita yan si Xian Lim at Ashley Ortega na yan at lokohin si Kim? Wag sana kumite yan show niyo, mga manloloko.”
Ashley denied that there is something romantic going on between her and Xian. She also said that she received this kind of message as well and even Xian is aware of this.
The actor set the record straight. He explained that at a certain level of his training, he and Ashley had to practice together on the skating rink.
By doing this in public, people would see them practicing their characters who are romantic with each other in the series. He pointed out that this is perhaps what people would see in them in public.
“So finally, noong nakuha ko na ang certificate, puwede na kaming magsama ni Ashley sa ice. Because mahirap naman po na isasabak na kami agad at masagasaan namin ang isa’t-isa,” the actor said.
The actor stressed that as part of their preparation, they had to be in character when they would rehearse.
“So, we’re skating in public. So yung mga emote-emote namin nakikita ng public. Siyempre, nagtataka sila, ‘Bakit yung dalawa, nag-e-emote-emote rito?’ I think, that’s where it came from. And unlikely na sabihan nila is si Coach Ronan,” Xian Lim explained.
When asked if he and Ashley Ortega are just co-stars in the series, the actor abruptly answered with a laugh, “Yes, of course.”
