DAVID LICAUCO – Kapuso actor David Licauco speaks about the pressure brought by his “Pambansang Ginoo” title.

‘Maria Clara at Ibarra’ star David Licauco instantly became a heartthrob because of how he portrayed Fidel in the series. He pays the price of fame but you certainly can’t blame him for feeling overwhelmed.

He was given the title “Pambansang Ginoo” and this kind of fame overhauled his life. He might be paying the price of being famous but he is not complaining. He is grateful for the opportunities and blessings that came to him following his inclusion in the MCI.

Being dubbed “Pambansang Ginoo”, such a name is accordingly pressure-filled. However, he believes that it was given to him for a reason. He added, “I just have to do my best at all times and really live up to that heavy name.”

There were huge changes in his life but he makes sure to stay grateful all the time because he dreamed of this and now it is finally happening.

In a report from PEP, he said, “So, kahit minsan mahirap na at nakakapagod, kumbaga kailangan mo na lang din isipin na kailangan mo maging grateful kasi dati pinangarap mo din ito.”

His title is also giving him a conscious effort to set a good example for people, especially those who admire him. He is now being more careful and tries to do his best at all times.

Licauco is a Fil-Chinese entrepreneur. He owns restaurants and his businesses are definitely doing well.

He added, “Siyempre, again, I’m like a public figure now and marami na akong… marami nang mga tao na tumitingala… kumbaga, tingin nila sa akin ay inspirasyon ako.”
