Celeste Cortesi talked about her future plans after her Miss Universe stint
Beauty Queen Celeste Cortesi shares her experience doing her first acting job in the Kapamilya series Darna.
Celeste represented the Philippines in the Miss Universe 2022 pageant in New Orleans. Although she was not able to bring home the crown, she was able to play the role of a queen.
Just recently, Celeste played Kevnar, the Queen of Marte, in Darna. Her character appeared before Jane de Leon’s character Darna to thank her for protecting the planet and keeping the people safe.
Based on the article in The Philippine Star, Celeste Cortesi said that her fans were surprised by her acting stint and she was happy that she did this. “It was such a good opportunity because Darna is one of the most iconic characters in the Philippines, and it was my national costume in the Miss Universe,” she shared.
The beauty queen also shared that she was able to manage to say her lines even though they are in Tagalog. She studied for three days and it was a fun experience for her. “It was my first time to do, like, a whole script in Tagalog and a script in general as I’ve never really done acting,” Celeste enthused.
She also expressed that she is thankful to have this acting project and the opportunity to work with very professional and talented people. Celeste hopes more doors will open for her in this field.
After her pageant stint, Celeste Cortesi said that she is willing to explore opportunities in showbiz. “I’m really just excited about what’s to come. I want to grow, I want to really step out of my comfort zone, which is what I’ve been doing for a very long time. I am excited to try new things. There’s always an opportunity. When a door closes, there’s another one wide open,” she enthused.
