This is the reason why Sharon Cuneta is so popular during parties
Megastar Sharon Cuneta has this reaction when asked about being mentioned during different “handaan.”
Sharon recorded the song Bituing Walang Ningning for the movie of the same name which was released in 1985. The song’s chorus features this line, “Balutin mo ako ng hiwaga ng iyong pagmamahal.”
The said line has become a meme and a common line during different “handaan” like birthdays, weddings, and many more. It is referred to as the act of wrapping food to be brought home by the visitors.
Sharon Cuneta said in a recent interview on talent manager-vlogger Ogie Diaz’s YouTube channel that she is aware that she has become a subject in memes for parties.
“Tuwang-tuwa ako!” Sharon enthused. She said that she would see posts on YouTube, Facebook, and TikTok about this. The Megastar specifically mentioned the photo in which there was a photo of her on a buffet table with an “X” on it to tell people that visitors are not allowed to bring home the food.
“Huwag magsha-Sharon, ibig sabihin, bawal magbalot. Tawang-tawa ako,” she said while laughing. For her, it is cute because people would remember during this kind of event.
The Megastar stressed that she is not offended by this. She also shared that it has been her “ugali” to tell the visitors of her parties to bring home the food.
“Sabi ko nga, ako lang ang may karapatang magsabing, ‘magbalot na kayo.’ Kasi yun naman ang ugali ko,” she shared, adding that she would tell the guests after they eat to wrap the foods and take them home.
During the interview, Sharon Cuneta also shared with Ogie Diaz her weight loss secret and why she decided to get rid of her extra weight. Aside from the health reason, Megastar said that fans are also one of the reasons why she is losing weight.
