A food vlogger says ‘KAYA NATIN ‘TO GUYS’ after he was arrested during a drug buy-bust operation in Quezon City.
A food vlogger and a man who admitted to selling drugs were both arrested in a buy-bust operation in Quezon City in the early hours of Wednesday morning (February 22, 2023).
The suspects were identified as Cassius Labatete Soriano, a food vlogger, and Gian Kalvert Paz, both residents of the city. According to reports from the Quezon City Police District (QCPD)-Holy Spirit Station 14 (PS-14), the suspects were arrested at around 2:00 am during a buy-bust operation in Brgy. Holy Spirit.
Authorities received a tip about the suspects’ illegal activities, which led to the operation and their subsequent arrest. The authorities seized 300 grams of marijuana from the suspects, with an estimated value of P36,000.
PCAPT Anthony Dacquel, the head of QCPD-Station 14 SIDMU, said that the suspects were also believed to be the suppliers of some of the arrested drug users in the area. Paz admitted to selling marijuana for a year, which he obtained from a friend, while Soriano denied selling marijuana but admitted to using it.
“Wala pampatulog lang. Puyat din kasi saka ano eh, stress sa pag-eedit, kaya kailangan ko rin ng ano eh, pampakalma… pero di ko naman ginagamit ‘yun sa maling paraan… di ako nagbebenta. Gumagamit lang… ano lang, parang papitik-pitik lang pag gusto ko lang pero di ko naman ina-adik ‘yan, ‘di ko naman tinambayan yung ganyang ano,” Soriano said.
In an interview, Soriano even gives a hilarious message after he was arrested. “Kaya natin to guys, like and follow na lang,” he said,
The suspects were among 20 drug suspects arrested in a series of buy-bust operations conducted by the QCPD in different parts of the city in the past day. They are currently in custody and will be charged with violating Republic Act 9165, or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
