Miss Universe Philippines 2023 announced the names of this year’s official candidates
Forty (40) applicants passed the Miss Universe Philippines 2023 screening and three of them are mothers.
On Saturday, February 18, the MUPH released the names of this year’s official candidates. Several names are familiar already in the world of pageantry in the Philippines.
Here is the list of the official candidates for MUPH 2023.

Among these 40 names, three of them are mothers. In 2022, the Miss Universe Organization announced that it will be accepting candidates regardless of their civil status. The Philippines also embraced this rule.
Miss Universe Philippines 2023 accepted candidates Clare Dacanay, Joemay-An Leo, and 2018 Miss Global Philippines Eileen Gonzales, based on the article in Inquirer. They are among the first three to be under the new rule of MUO allowing married women and those who have borne children to join the pageant.
