Janella Salvador Pens Heartwarming Farewell For Her Regina/Valentina Roles

“How do I un-Regina?”
A little late but Janella Salvador has this message for her Darna roles.

JANELLA SALVADOR – Landing on the role of a lifetime Valentina is Janella Salvador and this is how she said goodbye to it.

Kapamilya actress Janella Salvador has landed the role of a lifetime – the Valentina role in Mars Ravelo’s Darna. She’s the supervillainess and Darna’s archenemy. It’s a role so coveted all throughout Filipino film and television series.

The actresses before her that played this villain role were Celia Rodriguez (in Lipad, Darna, Lipad!, 1973), Pilar Pilapil (Darna, 1991), and Pilita Corrales (Mars Ravelo’s Darna: Ang Pagbabalik!, 1994) just to name a few.

This is her first time playing the antagonist. She used to play charming and kikay roles like her roles in her previous projects Be Careful With My Heart, Oh My G!, and Born For You. The series has already ended but it was just recently that she finally grasp the feeling to finally say goodbye to it.

In her new post, she expressed, “How do I say goodbye to such a character? How do I un-Regina?”

And it seems she might be ready for a new love life but not ready to say goodbye to the role that became close to her heart. Its seems to say goodbye but she has to.

Playing these roles that is “evil yet full of heart, righteous yet troubled, intelligent yet mildly insane, beautiful yet monstrous and strong yet incredibly vulnerable” is not a walk in the park for her. But despite how complicated it is, she enjoyed those moments portraying it.

This is her post:
