MILES OCAMPO – Actress Miles Ocampo played young Marites in “Batang Quiapo” and this is what she said to those who praised her.
Trending worldwide last Monday is Miles Ocampo for her outstanding performance in “Batang Quiapo“. This series is the 2023 adaptation of a 1986 action-comedy film of the same name by Fernando Poe Jr and this story tackles the life of a crime lord’s son.
The project is written, directed, and co-produced by Coco Martin. The superstar also personally picked Miles for the role. Lovie Poe, the daughter of the late King of Philippine Movies, was cast as the female lead and the other cast are Christopher de Leon, John Estrada, Cherry Pie Picache, and Charo Santos.
Receiving praise for her performance, she feels grateful for her inclusion in the series. She is also grateful for Martin and she trusts him fully the reason why the scenes they made all come out well.
She also feels glad over the positive reviews she has received for her performance.
Ocampo expressed based on a report from ABS-CBN, “So, after hearing po all the comments, after the screening, ang sarap po sa pakiramdam na may nakaka-appreciate pa pala sa akin.”
She was commended for delivering various depths of her character in the pilot episode alone. Her character started from an assault victim to an expectant mother to a woman finally conceding to her maternity. Among the most remarkable scenes as well as was her birthing scene.
Batang Quiapo airs every Monday to Friday, 8 p.m. on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, Cinemo, A2Z, TV5, iWantTFC and TFC. The series’ first episode earned more than 340,000 concurrent viewers on YouTube and was a trending topic on various social media platforms.
