Coco Martin talked about his OOTD
Kapamilya actor Coco Martin has this answer for people who are wondering why he always wears a jacket even if it is always hot in the Philippines.
In Coco’s seven-year action-drama series, it can be noticed that his getup always includes a jacket. It is a known fact that the Philippines is a tropical country and most of the time the weather is hot and humid.
However, Coco does not mind if it is hot as he is frequently seen wearing a jacket. In a recent interview, based on the article in Bandera, he mentioned why a jacket has become a dominant piece in his OOTD or outfit of the day.
Coco Martin explained that for seven years, he was doing Ang Probinsyano, and for that span of time he was living his character. He further said that when he is doing a character, it is like a piece of clothing that he wears. When the project is over, that was the time he would take off that character.
“Kaya minsan nawiwiduhan sa akin ang mga tao. Sabi sa akin, ‘Ang init-init lagi kang naka-jacket’ Totoo ‘yon. Sabi ko, ‘Paano ko miaarte ang isang character kapag hindi ko isinabuhay?’” he said.
He added that when he wore his character Cardo every day, it was easy for him to portray. “Hindi ka na maliligaw kahit nakapikit ka pa, kahit biglang gisingin ka pa, si Cardo ka na,” he said.
The actor also stressed that this is his job and sometimes his outfit depends on this. Coco Martin also said that after taking off Cardo, he also changes even his hairstyle. He said that this is how he loves his work.
