Mel Martinez Admitted “Mahirap magpatawa kesa magpaiyak”

Mel Martinez Reveals He’s Having Difficulties “Magpatawa” Rather Than “Magpaiyak”

Actor Mel Martinez admitted that he is having a hard time when it comes to “magpatawa” than “magpaiyak” in acting.

Meliton Soriano, also known as “Mel Martinez,” is the brother of Maricel Soriano and one of the members of D’Aswang Slayerz. Amartha Entertainment produced the horror-comedy film.

Mel’s skill in the film was obvious since he is adept at making people laugh in a natural and not forced manner. It appears effortless, and he is hilarious in all of the scenarios.

But Maricel Soriano’s younger brother is not only talented in humor, but also in theater. However, Mel claims that being hilarious is more difficult for him than crying when acting.

“Actually, sa totoo lang, mahirap magpatawa. Mas madali sa akin ang magpaiyak. Mas madali akong humugot kasi kapag drama. I don’t know, it’s just that kapag comedy, nali-lift ko ‘yung timing ba. It’s a gift that I have to be blessed with,” said Mel, based on the article of PikaPika.

“Kaya kapag comedy, pinaghuhusayan ko. You know, kahit comedy ‘yan pinaghihirapan ko pa rin. Hindi siya ‘yung basta magpatawa ka lang, mahirap siya. Nandiyan dapat ‘yung timing, effort, and consistency. Sa pelikulang ito, sabi ko sa sarili ko, “Sorry Lord! Tang.., napagod ako ru’n ah. Ang lakas ng energy ko, buti nakaya ko,” Mel said

Mel can confidently state that D’ Aswang Slayerz is the most ambitious undertaking he has ever undertaken as a comic. This is his debut appearance in a film. When asked if there was any pressure, he said, “Meron!” Always apply pressure.”

“Pero sabi ko nga, hindi lang naman kasi sa akin nakasalalay ‘yan. Ang point dito is, the end product itself. It’s the material, ‘di ba? Kasi siyempre kung maganda ‘yung material, magkakaroon tayo ng word of mouth. Kakalat ‘yan, di ba? Naniniwala naman ako sa project, ang ganda niya, ‘di ba?” he said.

Ricky Rivero is the director of D’ Aswang Slayerz. Sharmaine Arnaiz plays Queen Helga, the queen of spirits, and the cast also features newcomer-teen star Athalia Badere, Magdalena Fox, Christian Antolin, Rosie Bagenden, Lester Tolentino, Benjie Rosales, Dawn Dupaya, and GJ Dorado and Chelsea Bon.
