Ruffa Gutierrez was asked about the recent Turkey earthquake where she lived for many years
Actress Ruffa Gutierrez shared that she talked to her ex-husband Yilmaz Bektas a few hours after the strong earthquake in Turkey happened.
When Ruffa and Yilmaz were still married, the Pinay celebrity was living in Turkey with their two daughters Lorin and Venice. The said country has become part of her life for many years.
On February 6, earthquake reports shocked the world. Turkey was in a devastating situation after it was hit by a magnitude 7.8 earthquake. Many structures were destroyed and this catastrophe took the lives of more than four thousand people.
PEP columnist Jojo Gabinete shared that Ruffa Gutierrez was asked about the strong earthquake that happened in her home in the past. The actress also shared that she was able to talk to Yilmaz Bektas after the quake.
“I felt bad. Nakausap ng anak ko yung daddy niya, si Yilmaz. Nakausap ko rin and, at that time, this is a few hours after the earthquake. Sabi niya [Yilmaz], hindi pa niya makontak yung ibang relatives niya,” Ruffa shared.
With this strong earthquake and the devastating result, the actress asked for prayers. “Please offer our prayers and condolences to those affected,” she said.
Meanwhile, Ruffa returns on the big screen with her Imelda Marcos role in Martyr and Murderer which is the second installment in Direk Darryl Yap’s trilogy, after the Maid in Malacanang.
Reportedly, Ruffa Gutierrez’s ALLTV lifestyle show with Mariel Padilla and Ciara Sotto will take a break. However, it was said in a previous article that even though the show will not air for two months, the hosts, as well as the staff and crew will still receive their salaries.
