Arnold Clavio Expresses His Opinion Regarding Teenage Pregnancy
The Kapuso journalist Arnold Clavio has expressed his thoughts about teenage pregnancy “Kumpirmado ba na pag may alak may balak?”
Teenage pregnancy sometimes referred to as adolescent pregnancy is when a female adolescent or young adult is pregnant before the age of 20. This covers those who are regarded as adults under local law.
Teenagers who are pregnant deal with many of the same challenges that other pregnant women do. For those under the age of 15, there are additional issues because they are less likely to be physically prepared to carry out a successful pregnancy or give birth.
In the Philippines, poverty and limited access to education and reproductive health services become one of the main factors of teenage pregnancy. Alcoholic drinks were also linked to exposure of young people to early pregnancy. Senator Raffy Tulfo also tackled the issue in the Senate.
Recently, Arnold Clavio has expressed his opinion regarding teenage pregnancy. The latter said that the Philippine government should impose regulations for selling alcoholic drinks. “Kumpirmado ba na pag may alak may balak?” Clavio said.
According to the Kapuso host, regulating the sales of alcoholic beverages will reduce the case of teenage pregnancy. He also gives a situation wherein young male teenagers were taking advantage of their female drinking companion.
“Yung iba naman ang sitwasyon nilalasing talaga nila yung biktima nila kasi gusto,” Clavio added.
