Lito Lapid Answers Question if He Has Plans to Run as President of the Philippines
Senator Lito Lapid responded to the question of whether he intends to run for President of the Philippines.
Senator Lito Lapid, a veteran actor, and public servant stated that he never dreamt or dreamed of becoming President of the Philippines. According to the experienced actor, there appear to be organizations pressing him to run for a higher post.
He, on the other hand, does not take it seriously. In a recent interview with members of the entertainment press, the senator stated that he had no ambitions to run for a higher post in the next elections.
“Hindi ko naman talaga iniisip kahit anong habol ko noong araw pa. Mula nu’ng mag-vice governor ako at governor for nine years, hindi ko rin inaano tuwing election. Siguro, nararamdaman nila ang totoong pagseserbisyo ko sa kanila. Hindi man ako masalita, hindi man ako kumikibo, yung gawa, nararamdaman nila,” said the senator.
Sen. Lapid was also asked if he could imagine himself as the country’s President. He underlined that he does not consider that. He went on to say that it happened even after he became vice governor and senator.
He was also asked about the possibility of running for president. Based on the article of Bandera, Lito Lapid confessed that several persons had previously approached him with an offer.
“Siguro, yun ang hindi ko gagawin. Hindi po, gusto mong wala kang gagawing mabuti, maging pangulo ka ng Pilipinas. May mga paswabe. Pero sabi ko, ‘Huwag niyo nga akong insultuhin. Para niyo akong iniinsulto para tatakbong Pangulo at Vice President.’ Baka Vice, baka sakali, I don’t know,” he said.
He added, “Nasa Panginoon naman yan kung talagang nandoon ka, ibibigay sa yo yan. Pero ni isang katiting na pangarap sa isip ko, ni hindi sumuot sa isip ko. Kaya hindi ako pinapansin ng mga kaibigan kong senator dahil alam nilang hindi ako threat sa kanila. Alam nilang hindi nila ako magiging kalaban. Kaibigan ko silang lahat.”

If I were to choose? I really like my idol Lito Lapid to be the next President of the republic of the Philippines but much better if he run first as vice president.
Why I loved Lito Lapid because he was never involved in any corruption cases and other bad issues instead he remained hamble and continue to love the people of the Philippines.
We must pray to Allah that he will be given a chance to be our next vice president and president of the Philippines in the near future.
