The ALLTV show of Ruffa Gutierrez will take a break
Actress Ruffa Gutierrez is still receiving her talent fee amid the decision of ALLTV to halt the productions of its shows for a while.
Ruffa is a host on Mhies on a Mission with Mariel Padilla and Ciara Sotto. Just recently, it was announced by the new network that its shows are temporarily taking a halt. With this, different reactions were shared online.
It is inevitable that fans of ABS-CBN would have negative reactions to this. To recall, AMBS or ALLTV, the company of business tycoon Manny Villar, acquired the frequencies previously occupied by the Kapamilya network.
Following the negative reactions, veteran host Willie Revillame whose Wowowin show is now airing on ALLTV, he slammed the bashers of his new home network.
Although the shows will stop airing for now, entertainment writer Jun Lalin wrote in his article in Abante that the artists, as well as the staff and crew, will continue to receive their salaries.
“Pero napakabait nga ng TV network na pag-aari ng pamilya Villar dahil habang naka-’pause’ sila for two months at inaayos ang signal ng AllTV ay hindi naman sila nganga dahil makakatanggap pa rin ng talent fees ang lahat,” the write shared, adding that it also extends to the staff and anyone who involved in the shows.
Lalin also shared that Ruffa Gutierrez is set to attend the media conference for the movie Martyr or Murderer and definitely, she will be asked about ALLTV’s decision to stop the shows’ airing temporarily. However, the writer said that the network will release an official statement about this.
Previously, Ruffa’s social media post caught the attention of many netizens as she said sorry to MoM director Darryl Yap. It is because they were instructed to keep away their phones during the shoot but she was caught in the act taking a selfie.
