Martyr or Murderer Trailer Primer Elicits Reactions

Vincentiments released the trailer primer of the movie Martyr or Murderer, written and directed by Darryl Yap and this brought goosebumps to netizens.

The said movie, which is under Viva Films, is the second installment in Direk Darryl’s trilogy about the life of the Marcos family. The first one, Maid in Malacanang, was released last year and had worldwide screenings.

Due to the overwhelming support that the first movie got, fans are already anticipating the sequel. In a recent social media post, Vincentiments, Direk Darryl’s production team, shared the trailer primer of his second Marcos movie.

“Alay ng VinCentiments ang nakakabagabag na bidyong ito para sa bawat Pilipinong naghihintay sa WORLDWIDE LAUNCH NG OFFICIAL TRAILER NG #MARTYRorMURDERER,” the post stated. It added that the official trailer will be released on February 9, at 6 PM.

The video that Vincentiments shared was the actual footage from News5 of the Hacienda Luisita Massacre that happened in 2004. In the video, men, who were protesters, were shouting while their hands were up in the air. Then, rapid gunshots were heard and the protesters started running for their lives. It can also be seen that some protesters already stumbled but still tried to get up.

With the sound of the bell, the text appeared: “This trailer primer is for the injured, detained, killed and missing farmers of Hacienda Luisita.” The second sound of the bell was done along with this text: “Lets hold our breath for the worldwide launch of…” and the third bell was for the movie title “Martyr or Murderer.”
