AREAS ELIGIBLE FOR GSIS CALAMITY LOAN – Here is a list of locations whose residents and workers who are GSIS members may apply for the loan offer.

In the Philippines, one of the biggest social insurance institutions is the Government Service Insurance System. More commonly called GSIS, its members are Filipinos who are currently working in the government and the public sector. Some of its members are those who have previously worked in the government and state-run institutions. Many of them are pensioners of the social insurance institution.

Qualified members of GSIS may apply for its loans and other services it offer. One of these offers is the GSIS Calamity Loan offer. It is open for GSIS-member residents and workers in areas declared under a State of Calamity.

Under the GSIS Calamity Loan offer, a member-borrower may borrow up to P20,000. The government agency posts the areas where the residents and workers may be eligible to apply for the said loan offer.

With regards to the lists of areas eligible for the GSIS Calamity Loan offer this February to March 2023, here are they:

For GSIS-member affected by the Low Pressure Area (LPA) in Visayas
Granting Period: January 30 to February 28, 2023
Areas Covered:

• Western Samar
• Northern Samar
• Siaton, Negros Oriental
• Eastern Samar
• Sta. Catalina, Negros Oriental

For GSIS-member affected by the heavy rains in Luzon
Granting Period: January 31 to March 1, 2023
Areas Covered:

• Brooke’s Point, Palawan

For GSIS-member affected by Typhoon Paeng
Granting Period: January 3 to February 2, 2023
Areas Covered:

• Culion, Palawan
• Santiago City, Isabela
• Ilagan City, Isabela
