Kim Chiu on her PMPC Best Female TV Host Award: "Legit na ako"

It’s Showtime host Kim Chiu said that she is now a legit host after receiving the 35th Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) Star Awards for Television Best Female TV Host award.

Kim started her career in showbiz after joining the Kapamilya reality show Pinoy Big Brother. From that, she became an actress and starred in different TV series and movies. In 2020, she became a host in the Kapamilya noontime show.

Through her hosting stint in the noontime show, she received an award and this made her fans so happy. However, there were those who questioned her ability to be given the Best Female TV Host. There were netizens who criticized her as they believe that she does not deserve that award.

During the January 30 episode of the Kapamilya noontime show, Kim Chiu expressed how grateful she is to receive that kind of recognition, based on the article in Inquirer. This recognition is a surprise to her because she can’t consider herself an expert when it comes to this field. On the other hand, with this award, she can definitely say now that she is a host.

“Grabe, first award ko ‘to as a host. Legit na ko. Di ko naman strength ang hosting, naglalaro lang naman tayo dito. Salamat sa ‘It’s Showtime’ kasi binibigyan niyo ako ng pagkakataon, endless chances, at endless opportunities, at sa PMPC for the recognition, at sa lahat ng mga sumusuporta sakin,” Kim said.

The Chinita Princess also shared her photos holding her trophy on her Instagram page. In the caption of her post, she once again thanked the people who continue to believe in her and dodge the criticisms being thrown at her. Kim said that the negative comments are her fuel to make herself better.
