16-Year-Old Student Passes Away After Falling from Overloaded Tricycle in Buhi, Camarines Sur
A 16-year-old student identified as Mary Joy Palado died after falling from a moving and overloaded tricycle.
Nowadays, road accident has been one of the most common traffic problems not only in the Philippines but also in different countries all around the world. It usually causes injuries and even death to the victims.
The Philippine government is already implementing stricter rules and regulations to prevent such incidents. Unfortunately, there are still a lot of hard-headed and reckless motorists violating the traffic policy.
Public utility vehicles are prohibited from overloading passengers, which may cause accidents and other unfortunate incidents along the road.
The female high school student passed away after she fell from an overloaded tricycle in Buhi, Camarines Sur. The victim is supposed to return home when the incident happened at Barangay San Jose Baybayon.
Palado has been rushed to hospital but eventually passed away after suffering a serious injury after she hits her head on a concrete road. The victim was just hanging on the tricycle during the trip, according to the witnesses.
However, the tricycle driver denied the accusations and explained that Mary Joy is sitting inside the vehicle. The driver is currently detained at the police station and will face charges of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide.
The authorities will hold a meeting with the tricycle driver’s association in Buhi. The officials will remind the drivers regarding the rules and regulations.
