Julie Anne San Jose admitted that she never imagined she’ll have a chance to work with Dennis Trillo
Asia’s Limitless Star Julie Anne San Jose talked about her chemistry onscreen with Kapuso actor Dennis Trillo in the primetime series Maria Clara at Ibarra.
The said series and the cast members have been receiving positive feedback from viewers and netizens. Following the story of Jose Rizal’s novel, the story will soon continue to El Filibusterismo.
In a recent interview, based on the article in Inquirer, Julie Anne, who plays the character of Maria Clara, did not think that she will possibly have a project with Dennis, her leading man in the series who plays the character of Crisostomo Ibarra.
It overwhelms her when people would commend her chemistry onscreen with the matinee idol. “I have always been a fan of Dennis and his past projects. I never imagined myself working with him at first. But as we shoot more scenes, the chemistry just follows,” Julie Anne San Jose said.
She thinks that this is what people saw in them and perhaps because, in real life, she admires Dennis for being a good actor and a good person.
Dennis also shared that working for the first time with Julie Anne, they did not go through a workshop before the actual shoot. They just had a brief Spanish lesson as they needed to say lines in Spanish from time to time.
“We weren’t able to talk to each other or do a script reading prior to the shoot. We studied our scenes when we were on the set already,” he revealed. The actor humbly said that he did not expect that his tandem with Julie Anne would receive positive reviews.
On the other hand, the actor said, “I’m happy, of course. I know that when actors are dedicated … focused on their craft, the scenes will work.”
