Miss Universe 2022 R’Bonney Gabriel Is A Solid Fan Of This Filipino Dessert
R’BONNEY GABRIEL – Miss Universe 2022 R’Bonney Gabriel revealed her favorite Filipino dessert.
In New Orleans, Louisiana, 84 women from all over the world competed for the title of Miss Universe 2022. R’Bonney Gabriel became the first Filipino-American to be crowned Miss Universe.
The 28-year-old beauty queen has a Pinoy father and an American mother. She has always been proud of her multicultural background.
After being crowned Miss Universe 2022, R’Bonney Gabriel thanked her Pinoy fans. She enumerated the beautiful traits of Pinoys and said that she’s proud to be half-Filipina.
In an interview with the Thai network JKN18, the new Miss Universe revealed that ensaymada is her “favorite Filipino treat.”It is a soft and sweet pastry topped with shredded cheese and smothered with butter and sugar.
“First thing I would like to do is sleep more than four hours, and then eat some ensaymada — that’s my favorite Filipino treat…”
“And I would love to give my family and friends a hug, and just thank them so much for getting me here,” she added.

R’Bonney Gabriel got to satiate her appetite with a surprise ensaymada feast on Wednesday (Philippine time) during one of her press interviews in New York, where she is presently living. ABS-CBN News reporter Dyan Castillejo and her team prepared the ensaymada for the beauty queen.
“Love [R’Bonney’s] reaction when she saw the ensaymada buffet we brought her! [She] super enjoyed it,” Dyan stated in an Instagram post featuring R’Bonney sampling the ensaymada treats.
Miss Universe also posted an IG photo of R’Bonney holding two ensaymadas. It came with a caption, “R’Bonney Gabriel enjoys her favorite treat from [Goldilocks] — our iconic ensaymada! Try it for yourself and see why Miss Universe is in love with this classic merienda snack!”
