BENJARONG MENU – Dusit Thani Manila in Makati houses Benjarong, a famous Thai restaurant and this is their 8-course meal.

Chef Watcharaphon “Ja” Yongbanthom or Chef Ja took over the kitchen of Benjarong in 2015 and she certainly did magic to elevate the dishes of this Thai restaurant. This place is closed on Monday and here are the rates of their curated tasting menu.

Considered the “best Royal Thai-inspired restaurant serving authentic Thai cuisine by Chef Watcharaphon Yongbanthom” is Benjarong. This Thai restaurant is found at the ground level of the Dusit Thani Manila, Ayala Center.

If you want the full experience that will make you taste a different kind of Thai food, you must try these on their Curated Tasting Menu vol II:

8-Course Menu: ₱3,950++ / person
8-Course Menu with Wine Pairing: ₱5,250++ / person
5-Course Lunch Menu: ₱3,250++ / person

The 8-course menu is only served during dinner time.

As soon you get yourself seated, the 8-course experience will start with a lemon welcome drink. The first course is Pla Samun Prai or Fish with Herbs and Spices. It is composed of fresh salmon with tom yum spicy mayo wrapped in a rice wrapper tube.

It is garnished with edible butterfly pea flowers, fried tom yum spices, and basil flowers put atop betel leaf.

Course number 2 is Sai Oua or Northern Sausages which is a combination of the following:

  • Nom Price Boom is made of green finger chili, garlic, and red onion
  • Northern Thai Sausage made of pork with turmeric and lemongrass
  • Khao Jee which is sticky rice with coconut milk and salt
  • Kan Moo which is crispy pork skin

For the third course, a Pomelo Salad is served. It comes in a crisp rice wrapper cup mixed with chili, coriander, roasted coconuts, shrimp, and cashew nuts. A pomelo sherbet is also served on the side and put on top of crushed coconut and cashew.

The rest of the 8-course tasting menu are:

  • Khao Griep (Dumpling) and Pu Ma Prao On (Crab Young Coconut)
  • Panaeng See Krong Kae (Red Curry with Lamb Chops)
  • Khao Phad Tom Yum (Tom Yum Fried Rice)
  • Ka Nom Tom (Coconut Dumpling)
  • I-tim Durian Thed (Sour Sop Ice Cream)

Operating hours:

LUNCH: 11:30 am to 2:30 pm
DINNER: 5:30 pm to 10:00 pm
