Chito Miranda expressed happiness to work with Gary Valenciano

Parokya ni Edgar vocalist Chito Miranda shared his thoughts on collaborating with Mr. Pure Energy Gary Valenciano.

Chito’s band has been in the industry for almost three decades now and they continue entertaining their fans with their music and charm on stage. Over the years, the band has already worked with various artists.

In a recent Instagram post, Chito shared that they are collaborating with the one and only Gary V. The PNE frontman shared a story of his first meeting with the OPM icon. He said that it happened when he was 9 years old. A year before that, Chito Miranda already knew the music of Gary Valenciano.

At a family reunion when he was 9, he met Gary and it was because his aunt Angeli Pangilinan was already married to the singer. “I was super starstruck and kept following him around asking stupid questions like “Tito! How’d you come up with this dance step?” the band vocalist shared.

After establishing Parokya ni Edgar, Chito said that they were lucky to have the chance to perform with Mr. Pure Energy, especially when they have guest appearances on the Kapamilya musical variety show ASAP.

He also shared that he and his wife Neri Miranda asked the OPM icon to be their “ninong” at their wedding. With this, Chito said that Gary is indeed a part of his life. On the other hand, he said, “Pero sa tagal tagal namin magksama, ngayon lang kami nagka-roon ng legit na collab on an original song…tapos pinerform pa namin ng live!!!”

Chito said that they have been working on this song for several months with the help of renowned composer Jonathan Manalo. The result was a “beautiful song about love.” The band vocalist expressed his gratitude to the seasoned performer for the chance to create a song with him. Chito Miranda also said that he is excited to share this song with everybody.
