Chito Miranda addressed those who can’t believe his relation to the Pangilinans
Parokya ni Edgar frontman Chito Miranda talked about his relations to actor Donny Pangilinan, Senator Kiko Pangilinan, Mr. Pure Energy Gary Valenciano, and Megastar Sharon Cuneta.
Chito received many surprised reactions when he posted a photo with Sen. Kiko. What surprised the netizens was not the support that he expressed for the vice-presidential candidacy of the lawmaker but his statement that they are related.
The band vocalist said that Sen. Kiko is his uncle and joked that before Donny came, he is the favorite nephew of the running mate of Vice President Leni Robredo.
Just recently, Chito Miranda addressed the “gulat” reaction that some netizens had upon knowing his relation to the Pangilinans. “Bakit nga ba gulat na gulat yung iba na pinsan ko si Donny…eh lamang lang naman sya sa akin ng mga 2,000,000 na paligo,” the PNE frontman quipped.
Then, he explained that he and Donny are second cousins. “Kasi mag-pinsang buo yung dad ko at yung dad nya…kaya naging related din ako kay Tito Gary V, Ate Sharon, and yes, kay Kuya Kiko,” Chito said. Gary’s wife Angeli Pangilinan is the sister of Sen. Kiko Pangilinan.
Chito also shared that his wife Neri Miranda is closer to Sen. Kiko because they both love farming. He also said that Sharon Cuneta is also close to his wife because they are both “madaldal.”
“As in nage-exchange sila Neri at Kuya Kiko ng notes pagdating sa farming, and sometimes dini-discuss din nila kung gaano kahirap ang buhay ng farmers, lalo na nung sinubukan ni Neri magpatanim ng palay, at nalaman nya kung gaano kahirap yung process, at kung gaano kaliit yung kinikita ng mga farmers.” Chito Miranda shared.
With this, the band vocalist said that he really hopes that Sen. Kiko will be elected as the next vice president because his priority is to help the farmers and the fisher folks.
