Celeste Cortesi Failed To Make It To The Top 16
CELESTE CORTESI – The dream of Miss Universe Philippines 2022 Celeste Cortesi to become Miss Universe ended as she failed to enter the Top 16 of the competition on Sunday.
Miss Universe 2022 is currently being held at the New Orleans Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. Even before today’s grand coronation, Miss Universe Philippines 2022 has always been included in the “final picks” of pageant websites and vlogs.
In Missosology’s list, Venezuela’s Amanda Dudamel is at the Top 1, while Celeste Cortesi is at number 2. In Pageantology, the Filipina-Itanlian beauty was in the Top 9, but the Philippines’ bet to reach the Top 16 was not lucky.
Celeste Cortesi did not make it to the semi-finals of Miss Universe. This is the first time in 12 years that the Philippines did not land a semi-finals spot.
After the opening number of the candidates, the hosts Jeannie Mai Jenkins and Miss Universe 2012 Olivia Culpo introduced the Top 16 candidates for the 71st edition of Miss Universe.

- Trinidad and Tobago – Tya Jané Ramey

- Venezuela Amanda Dudamel
- Spain – Alicia Faubel
- U.S.A. – R’bonney Gabriel
- Colombia – María Fernanda Aristizábal
This year, the Top 16 candidates will compete in both the swimsuit and evening gown segments of Miss Universe, to filter the top 5 who will compete in the first question and answer segment of the pageant.
After that, the top 3 will compete again in another round of question and answer, before naming the successor of the Indian beauty queen, Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu.
