According to the victim, Jose Terry Dela Cruz, a friend brought the suspect to him in order to fix the land papers he sold in Baliwag. Their deal began in July of last year. The victim said that he give the suspect P470,000 to allegedly pay taxes to the BIR.

Based on the report, the teacher requested an extra P33,000 for further payments in November, putting the total amount he has provided to P503,000. The suspect provides a copy of the tax receipt obtained from the bank via internet chat.

However, when the victim requested the original receipt, there was none to be given. Dela Cruz had reservations, so he went to the bank and the BIR. He has determined that the suspect did not conduct any transactions at the bank and that the receipt displayed is a forgery.

He claimed he requested the suspect to return the money he provided her, but the suspect did not reply, and she even demanded an additional P500,000 to cover further taxes. As a result, he decided to request assistance from the cops.

The suspect was apprehended at a fast food restaurant in Barangay Bagong Nayon, Baliwag. The suspect allegedly admitted to authorities that she had not kept the document safe, but claimed that the money demanded from the victim was hidden.

The victim is resolved to charge the culprit so that he will no longer be able to victimize others. The defendant would face accusations of swindling, estafa, robbery, extortion, and document falsification, according to the Baliwag PNP.
