The TCL 40R was officially announced on October 26, 2022. The 5G-ready smartphone is fueled with a non-removable Li-Po 5000 mAh battery + 15W wired charging. It is offered in two colors – Stardust Purple and Starlight Black.
Body & Display:
The device features a 6.6 inches screen size and the display is IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen that provides 720 x 1612 pixels resolution. It measures 164.5 x 75.4 x 9 mm and weighs 192 grams. It is built with a glass front, a plastic frame, and a plastic back.
Platform:
40R is powered by Mediatek MT6833 Dimensity 700 (7 nm) Octa-core processor coupled with Mali-G57 MC2 graphics processing unit (GPU). It runs on the Android 12 + TCL UI 4.0 operating system. It is packed with 4GB of RAM while the internal storage has 64GB and 128GB options.
Main Camera:
The rear camera of the TCL 40R consists of a 50-megapixel (wide) + 2-megapixel (macro) + 2-megapixel (depth). It features an LED flash, HDR, and panorama.
Selfie Camera:
On the front, the device features an 8-megapixel camera for clicking beautiful selfies and making video calls.
The phone’s sensors include fingerprint (side-mounted), accelerometer, proximity, and compass. It also features FM radio, USB Type-C 2.0, NFC, GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BDS, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, and Bluetooth 5.1.
