Woman Suffer Injuries After Being Shot by Her Boyfriend Outside Their Boarding House in Bacolod City
A woman was injured after being shot by her own boyfriend during a heated argument outside their boarding house in Bacolod City.
Recently, the Facebook page Aksyon Radyo Bacolod reported that a woman in Purok Masinadyahon, Barangay 12 was shot by her own boyfriend during an argument. The post elicits comments from the online community.
The victim, identified as Nica, suffered a gunshot wound to her right shoulder, with the bullet passing through her back. She was immediately rushed to a private hospital in Bacolod City, where she is now receiving treatment.
The woman’s condition is being closely monitored by doctors. The suspect, known as Bogart, is currently in police custody at Police Station 1.
According to a witness named Liezel, the couple had been arguing earlier, and the boyfriend had insisted that Nica go home. When they arrived at the boarding house, the situation worsened.
Nica was seen crying outside with her five-year-old child after Bogart reportedly took her clothes and locked the gate, leaving her stranded.
Liezel said she heard someone crying outside her room and saw Nica and her child in distress. Moments later, Bogart returned and allowed them to enter the boarding house. However, the tension did not end there.
A loud noise was heard when the gate was forcefully hit, followed by another argument outside.
When Liezel looked again, she saw the couple arguing once more. At that point, Bogart was already carrying a firearm. Nica reportedly tried to calm him down and advised him to stop. During the confrontation, the gun went off and hit Nica. The suspect later claimed that the firearm was discharged accidentally.
Police responded quickly to the scene and arrested the suspect. Authorities are now investigating whether the shooting was truly accidental or the result of reckless behavior.
