This is what Celeste Cortesi shared about the upcoming pageant.
CELESTE CORTESI – Reigning MUPH winner Celeste Cortesi is all set for the international Miss Universe 2022 pageant.
Ahead of the official start of the Miss Universe 2022 competition, Celeste Cortesi is now in New Orleans. She came to the hosting country with her team and the beauty queen is looking fierce in the photos taken when she arrived at the Los Angeles International Airport.
She wore a fiery all-red ensemble comprised of a leather coat with fur, knee-high boots, and black cat-eye sunglasses. She hopes to win the fifth Miss Universe crown for the Philippines following Gloria Diaz (1969), Margie Moran (1973), Pia Wurtzbach (2015), and Catriona Gray (2018).
Eighty-six contestants will vie for the title of Miss Universe 2022 and succeed Harnaaz Sandhu of India. The grand coronation night will be on January 15 (Manila time). The venue is New Orleans Morial Convention Center and people in the Philippines can catch the coronation night on Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, Metro Channel, and iWantTFC.
This is the first edition of the pageant to be held under a new owner. Thailand-based JKN Global Group acquired the organization last October 2022.
And speaking about Cortesi’s preparation, in an on-the-spot interview with Vicki Belo, she expressed that she trained hard for the pageant. She has high hopes to win the crown and win or not, she is after to make the Filipinos proud.
She trained hard to perfect her pasarela and she also did training to make her own look for the pageant. She also does everything to avoid negativities as much as possible by replacing them with negative thoughts.
Before flying, she and her team already juggled outfits and planned what she will wear for the competition. She is prepared.
