Kakai Bautista elicited a smile from Toni Gonzaga when she did this
Comedienne-singer Kakai Bautista copied the signature campaign shout that Ultimate Multimedia Star Toni Gonzaga did.
Kakai is one of the cast members of the movie My Teacher which also features Henyo Master Joey de Leon. The said movie is part of the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2022.
On December 21, the traditional Parade of Stars was held and after the parade, a program was held in which stars promoted their movies. When the My Teacher cast was called, Toni was the first one to speak. She introduced her co-stars in the movie after inviting the audience to watch their movie.
Then, Kakai Bautista spoke after Toni Gonzaga. With high energy, the comedienne-singer shouted “Magandang gabi sa inyong lahat! Yes, sabay-sabay!” The latter, who used this phrase during the campaign season laughed widely when Kakai said that.
The comedienne-singer also invited the crowd to watch their movie. After other cast members have spoken, it can be heard that the crowd was shouting “Toni! Toni!”
During the parade, a woman also shouted “sabay-sabay” when Toni’s float passed by.
Meanwhile, Toni Gonzaga and Vice Ganda went viral after the Parade of Stars. Vice also has his MMFF entry this year, the movie Partners In Crime with Ivana Alawi. When the It’s Showtime host saw the TONI host on their float, he went down off their float to greet the former Kapamilya host.
Vice and Toni had their short “chikahan” and they hugged tightly each other. This moment that happened between two friends warmed the hearts of many showbiz fans. For many fans, this is proof that friendship reigns over political affiliations. To recall Vice campaigned for former Vice President Leni Robredo while Toni’s support was for President Bongbong Marcos and the UniTeam.
