Miss Universe Korea 2022 Hanna Kim Reveals What She Admires About Pia Wurtzbach, Catriona Gray
MISS UNIVERSE – Korea’s representative for Miss Universe 2022, Hanna Kim, revealed what she admires about Filipina beauty queens Pia Wurtzbach and Catriona Gray.
Hanna Kim will represent Korea at the 71st Miss Universe competition. She was chosen as Miss Universe Korea 2022 in April and is presently based in New York City.
During the national competition last year, she finished as the first runner-up. The 27-year-old model is a linguist and interpreter who specializes in clinical studies in addition to being a model. She’s also a talented classical ballerina.
During the Miss Universe “1-on-1” segment, Hanna Kim gave netizens the full rundown on everything about Korea. She was asked about her favorite K-pop band, K-drama, and her 5 favorite Miss Universes.
What is your favorite k-pop band?
“Oh wow! I have been waiting for this question. So my favorite k-pop band is BTS. I’m an ARMY. I’m a huge fan of BTS. I love their songs, their performances, and also what they speak for. So they actually speak for a lot of people, for suffering, for lost hope. When I was having a hard time in my life, their songs gave me hope. So I love them,” she said.
For her favorite K-drama, she said: “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” is her favorite right now. She said, “My favorite K-drama would be ‘Extraordinary Attorney Woo’. In this drama, the attorney plays a character who is autistic. And this drama shows her struggles not only as an attorney but it also reminds us that maybe we should also see the world in a different perspective. So I really love the drama.”

For her favorite Miss Universes, the Korean beauty queen said she admires Harnaaz Sandhu, Catriona Gray, and Pia Wurtzbach.
“My favorite Miss Universes. No. 1 Harnaaz Sandhu, our current Miss Universe 2021. She is so beautiful and I cannot my eyes off of her. And also Catriona Gray. She was so beautiful on stage. Her confidence and her attitude always inspire me. And also Pia. She looks so stunning in her blue dress. And her kindness also touches my heart,” said Hanna.
