Kakai Bautista once impersonated Jovit Baldivino
Actress-singer Kakai Bautista dedicated her recent Instagram post to Pilipinas Got Talent Season 1 Champion Jovit Baldivino.
Messages of grief surfaced on social media on December 9 after reports circulated that Jovit passed away. Several celebrities shared their fondest memories with the late singer. PGT Season 2 Champion Marcelito Pomoy shared the last moments of the late singer when they were still hoping for better things to happen.
For Kakai, the most memorable experience that she had with Jovit was when she impersonated him. The actress-singer was once a contestant in Your Face Sounds Familiar. Contestants were given tasks to copy a certain singer and Kakai had the chance to impersonate Jovit.
During the performance of Kakai Bautista in the said show, she was joined by Jovit Baldivino. The actress-singer shared a video clip of their performance and she wrote an emotional caption about that.
“Hinding hindi ko to nakakalimutan kase paulit-ulit ka na βkaya mo yanβ bago tayo magperform. kase sobrang kabado ako ang hirap mong gayahin!!! Salamat sa kabutihan mo,” Kakai shared.
Just like many showbiz personalities, she was also shocked by the bad news about Jovit. “Preβ napakabilis naman. Maraming Salamat sa Napakahusay at magandang musika mo,” she said.
Kakai also offered prayers for the late singer and his family. “You will be remembered and missed. Prayers for you and your Family. May you rest in peace,” she said. Netizens who commented on Kakai’s post also expressed sadness. There were also a lot who expressed condolences to Jovit’s family.
Jovit Baldivino had a humble beginning before winning Pilipinas Got Talent. He used to sell siomai in the market in order to help his family’s financial needs. Jovit aimed to use the prize money in PGT to improve his and his family’s lives.
