10 Colegio San Agustin Students Involved in a Fistfight Caught in Video Suspended
10 students of Colegio San Agustin (CSA) Makati were placed under suspension after being involved in the viral fistfight video.
CSA Spokesperson Joseph Noel Estrada said that a bout 10 students have been placed on preventive suspension while the investigation into the fight incident on the campus is ongoing. He said this is not yet the actual sanction or punishment for students involved in violence.
According to Estrada, this is just a preventive measure to prevent the situation from worsening and to protect the minors, while they and their parents are also obligated to cooperate in the investigation. Based on the video that was circulating online, two of them got into a fistfight.
However, Estrada revealed that they were not the only ones involved there, as there were other students who were also in the CR, who were watching or taking videos. Based on the report, it is said that the school is also investigating how the cell phone that was used and the steel or brass knuckle used by the student got into it.
“The idea of Grade 9 students having knowledge of what brass knuckle is and how they were able to access. Sino’ng nagbenta niyan, saan nakuha iyan is also part of the investigation,” said Estrada.
As for Estrada, the entire community must work together to suppress bullying because there are many reasons why it is emerging even among young people. Estrada once again appealed to the public not to share the video of the CSA incident on social media, especially when minors are involved.
